What candle-safety procedures should I follow?

1.) never leave a lit candle unattended 2.) secure the area 3.) keep away from pets and children 4.) avoid drafts and vents 5.) don't touch or move a hot candle 6.) keep 2 or more candles three inches apart 

How long should I burn my candles?

Never burn a candle longer than 4 hours. For the first burn, allow the wax to reach entirety to the edge (to preserve your candle life)

What type of wax is used in your candles?

100% Soy Wax (made from soy beans.)

What are the benefits of soy wax?

Soy wax is a healthier alternative to other harmful waxes and chemicals (zero toxins). Our soy candles produce longer and cleaner burns. Soy wax is also great for those who are prone to allergies. 

 

Do your fragrance oils contain Dibutyl Phthalates?

Our fragrances do not contain Dibutyl Phthalates.

 

When will I receive my order?

Our candles and wax melts are handmade in small batches by our owner. Since we are a small business, please allow 5-7 days for processing and shipping. 

Shipping times may increase when we receive high volumes of orders. We will contact you through email if your order is delayed. 

Good news is you may receive your order before the shipping window if we are not overwhelmed with orders.

All orders are processed and shipped in the order in which received. We ship orders Monday-Friday. In the Summer M-W. If you need a rush order (example: purchasing a gift) please contact us. Additional fees may apply. USPS shipping is 1-3 business days. 

What are the benefits of wooden wicks?

Shop Fox and Co. wooden wicked candles add a sophisticated and earthy flare to your home décor. Best of all, our wooden wicks crackle when lit. Sort of like a mini fireplace. So don't be alarmed. Enjoy the soothing, crackling sounds. 

How do I light and manage wooden wicks?

Using a lighter or matches, simply light the wick from right to left. If the flame seems too high, blow out the candle immediately and allow it to cool. Then trim the wick and light again. Wooden wicks may flicker.

Always keep wicks trimmed 1/4 inches. To trim your wick, (when candle is cool & solid) gently pinch off the black carbon with your fingers, a wick trimmer, or scissors. 

What is your candle burn time?

smaller jars - 35-40 hours

larger jars - 60-80 hours 

 

What is the burn time for your wax melts?

 2 melts have a burn time of 3-4 weeks 

 

Why does my candle have a clumpy texture on top after I burn it?

This is normal for soy candles. Your candle will always begin smooth on top. But you may notice areas of hard clumpy wax on top after the candle solidifies. This will not affect the way your candle smells or burns. Consider it a beautiful candle flaw. 

Why cant I smell my candle?

While we are confident in our scent throws, smaller jars may not fill bigger rooms. We recommend placing our smaller candles in intimate areas such as the bathroom, bedroom or kitchen area. 

Why wont my candle stay lit?

Try trimming your wooden wick (on a solid and cool candle). Then relight. Also, ensure that your candle is not under a vent or directly near a fan. For further issues, please email us.

 

What is your refund policy?

All sales are final. If you are unsatisfied with your order, please contact so we can make it right. There is a 30 day exchange policy on defected or tarnished candles only. To qualify for an exchange, you must submit a photo of your candle within 48 hours (info@shopfoxandco.com). Exchanges are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for broken or last packages caused by mail carriers.

Will my candles break during shipping?

Don't worry! We have mastered a secure and safe packing method. We secure candles with bubble wrap, packing paper, and packing peanuts. Each shipping box is packed tight enough with various materials so that your candles won't move.

While we can't guarantee that the postal service will handle each package with care, please know that we also place fragile stickers around you box.

If your candles are broken when you receive them, please send us an email and include a picture as soon as possible.
